Riff Randals 8 track Demos - This was recorded in an Oak Park basement in Sacramento CA, 2003. The basement was converted into a few practice rooms shared with the Four Eyes and other folks. it was like dungeon! we used the different rooms to spread out the band, but the equipment i was using was still very janky. my 8 track cassette multitrack recorder, a mixing board for the drums, and what ever microphones i could get my hands on. i also didnt have a way to get away from the band so i had to sit near the drums with headphones on trying to hear what i was recording. it came out raw but weirdly polished. we had room to record an extra guitar track (3 on she going home) or doubled vocals here and there. the back up vocals were done as a group.
